Hi, this is Nisreen – how are you?
The other day, I visited Framed by Nature, an art exhibition by Nate Evans, at the Indianapolis Public Library.
先日、インディアナポリス公共図書館で開催されていた、ネイト・エヴァンスさんのアート展「Framed by Nature」を訪れました。
Nate Evans is an Indianapolis woodworker and artist who creates framed live-edge pieces from salvaged and locally sourced wood. His work focuses on grain, natural edges, voids, and the patterns shaped through time, weather, and growth.
It was so inspiring to see the beauty created by nature. I made a couple of sketches with brush pens, attempting to study the shapes and lines formed by the wood. I always see nature as the ultimate source of inspiration!
ネイト・エヴァンスさんは、インディアナポリスを拠点に活動する木工作家でありアーティストです。廃材や地元で調達した木材を用いて、木の自然な形状を活かした額装作品を制作しています。彼の作品は、木目や空洞、そして時間や風雨、成長によって形づくられた年輪に焦点を当てています。
自然が生み出す美しさを目の当たりにし、とても刺激を受けました。私は筆ペンでスケッチを数点描き、木が生み出す形や線を観察しながら学ぼうとしました。やはり私にとって、自然は究極のインスピレーションの源です！
My husband, who has recently become very interested in woodworking, also had a wonderful time.
I was also impressed by how beautiful the library building was, and by its strong support for local arts communities.
最近木工にとても興味を持つようになった夫も、とても楽しい時間を過ごしていました。
また、図書館の建物が素敵なことにも感銘を受けました。地域のアートのつながりを図書館が強く支えている様子もいいなあと思いました。
