[Bilingual post] Podcast S3: Ep5 How to Visualise Autumn Song/ポッドキャスト S3: Ep5 秋の詩を描く方法

        Japanese follows English/

Hello, this is Nisreen! Welcome to the fifth episode of Season Three of my podcast. It’s lovely to be speaking with you again.

Today, I’d like to try something a little different, and share a little about the process of drawing the thumbnail art to this podcast. It was inspired by the poem Autumn Song by the French poet Paul Verlaine.

When we look at the history of art, we often see connections between the visual arts and other forms of expression, such as literature, music, and dance. I’d love to explore those intersections here, and I hope you’ll enjoy it.

[Bilingual post] Visual Diary 2 6–My Favourite Things from an American Supermarket/

 Japanese follows English/

I drew quick sketches of little things I’ve found in supermarkets since moving to the US, and have grown fond of.

Burt’s Bees Shea Mango Butter
This keeps my skin nicely moisturised. It smells lovely too.

TUMS Chewy Bites
When my stomach is upset, these help. They also taste a bit like a sweet.

Carol`s Daughter Goddess Strength Fortifying Shampoo
This is hands down the best shampoo I’ve ever used. My hair feels very smooth and has a sweet coconut scent after using it.

Zep Glass Cleaner
It doesn’t leave any streaks. It works perfectly on mirrors, windows, kitchen surfaces, the bath, and more.

      Japanese follows English/

Hello, this is Nisreen! Welcome to the third episode of Season Three of my podcast. It’s lovely to be speaking with you again.

Today, I’d like to talk about one of the most influential figures in music history: Michael Jackson. Even 16 years after his passing, he’s still widely recognised as a legendary entertainer.

So, the question is: Why is his work important from an artistic perspective? And as artists, what can we learn from him? In this episode, I’ll break it down into four key points.

* The thumbnail for this episode is my painting inspired by We Are the World lyrics written by Michael Jackson.
