 Hi all! This is Nisreen. 

 皆さん、こんにちは！ニスリーンです。

I have mentioned earlier how our dogs seem much happier in the US due to having more space. But I am also certain that their happiness comes from us spending more time with them.

アメリカでは土地が広々しているので、犬たちが日本にいる時よりずっと満ち足りて見えることは前にも書いたかと思います。また、私たちが前よりも犬たちとたくさん時間を過ごしているので、それもあって彼らは幸せそうです。

Their ability to sense people's mood and body language often amazes me.

一緒に過ごしていると、人の気持ちやしぐさの小さな変化を感じ取る彼らの能力に、しばしば驚かせられます。

For example:

a) They know when I'm going out as soon as I put on a dress.

b) They know when I'm going out as soon as I put sunscreen on.

c) They know when I'm sad. They kiss me, and go to my husband to let him know I'm sad.

d) They know when our discussion is heating up. They behave goofily, and try to make peace.

e) They know when I'm not feeling well. They curl up next to me and sniff my mouth as if they can smell my illness.

f) They know when I am up, even if I stay quiet in my room. They cry in front of my door until I let them in.

例えば

a) 私がワンピースを着ると、私が出かけようとしているとすぐにわかる。

b) 私が日焼け止めを塗ったとたんに、私が出かけようとしているのがわかる。

c) 私が落ち込んでいるとすぐにわかる。彼らは私の顔にキスし、私が悲しんでいることを夫に知らせに行く。

d) 私たちの議論が激しくなってくると、すぐにわかる。おどけた態度をとり、場を和ませようとする。

e) 私の具合が悪いと、すぐにわかる。私の隣で丸くなり、「いつもと違う」という感じでしきりと私の口の匂いを嗅ぐ。

f) 私が部屋で静かにしていても、目が覚めているとわかる。私が部屋に入れるまで、ドアの前できゅんきゅんと鳴く。
