Japanese follows English/日本語は英語の後に記載 Hello, this is Nisreen! Welcome to the 17th episode of my podcast!  I named today’s episode after the late 90s romcom, How Stella Got Her Groove Back.’ Unlike the film, though, I’m going to talk about how I got my creative groove back, not my romantic one!  I’ve been painting and belly dancing to express myself and, at times, as a professional endeavor for years now. If you’re also a creator, of any kind, you may have experienced creative slumps. I’d love to share three things I stopped doing to get out of times I was in a creative slump. I hope they resonate with you! Please find the audio file and full script below. The episode is available on  Apple Podcasts  and  Spotify  too. Are these statements true? Please find the audio file below. The episode is available on  Apple Podcasts  and  Spotify  as well. Please do share your thoughts about this topic on social media or from the contact form below! They, meanwhile, were WAITING for me to move on to the question. Of course, some people respond 'sure' or 'go on!' But there were many times when they were just silent. I wondered if they were there until they asked if I was there. lol I think this is because the set phrases in similar situations in Japan: 'お訊きしたいことがありまして/I have a question' or 'お訊きしたいことがあるのですが今お時間よろしいでしょうか?/ Is this the right time to ask a question?' The set response is always something along the lines of 'はい、どういったことでしょうか?/Yes, what is it?'  私が米国で初めの頃、病院などに電話をかけるときの無意識の行動で、ちょっとした戸惑いの原因になっていたことがある。 それは「質問があるのですが」とか「Xについて質問してもよろしいですか」と言って、相手が何か言うのを待
